It received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award, is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll and it was number 3 on Rolling Stones “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list. This song has three parts: The verse, chorus and bridge.
For the verse, the chords you will need to know are : C Major, Cmaj7 and F Major (If you are unable to play the full F Barre, you can play an easy version of F Major Here.) There is also an easy lick to play within the verse that Marty will demonstrate below.
The chorus gets a little more involved with some chords that you may not be familiar with, but are very easy to play. Watch the video for the demonstration.
The Bridge is more straight forward and uses the following chords: F Major (Again,if you are unable to play the full F Barre, you can play an easy version of F Major Here.), C Major, G Major and E Major (E7 can be substituted here. It is up to you.)
